CREATING A WILD THING....

This is a long story. To make it short, we inherited this duck 7 years ago when we
moved here. The previous owner had dressed it so we kept up the tradition. We added to the wardrobe such things as a Harley Davidson leather jacket.
Children and grandchildren love the duck and when  some of them visit, this is their
first stop after grandparent hugs. It has been fun, even truck drivers stop and take photos
of the seasonal and humorous garbs.  Until a few weeks ago....when someone sneaked in
and stole the duck's pirate outfit (which he wears for the Shrimp Festival here every year).
We decided to take a different turn....a creative turn and forget the clothes for something new.

Here is the saga in pictures...

THE DUCK AND I

THE PROCESS

an experiment in cement...

The cement is porous, of course, and collects the paint in interesting patterns/
I had grandiose design ideas then decided to go an abstract
intuitive route.  He is drying now and we shall see if more would be added.
