Thinking outside the box can be an adventure.  Playing "what if" is one of my

favorite art games.  I felt the notion of painting on burlap
 just to try it.

Warning: spray the burlap first with unscented hair spray or the

fine threads will land in your eyes and nose.

Unraveling to find divergent shapes and following the lead

of the fabric takes you to a cool place.

The piece started to remind me of some ancient scroll.

Thus, the title: Message from the Desert.

Acrylic paint and found objects took me the rest of the way.
