CUTTING THROUGH THE CLUTTER...

The desk in my studio is cluttered and chaotic.  My art table is clean...tell you something?  The age old artist's dilemma of deciding when to do writing and bookkeeping work and when to paint.  Marketing my NOOK is a constant task and right now preparation of an article for the next Fernandina Beach artwalk is a priority. Believe it or not Christmas is around the corner and we all know what that means.
The article  is nearly finished and will be out of the clutter and on its e-mail journey today.

I have recently become aware of a deep sadness in the life of a friend I have known since pre-school.  It made me take another hiatus from the studio.  I searched out old photos gathering them into a collage above my desk. Working such a collage is a healing way to sort through feelings and emotions with a creative touch.  It feels good to have it done and placed where it can comfort with memories.
